How we handle claims

Where a figure comes from a single study, we name the study. Where the evidence is contested or conditional, we say so on the same page as the claim rather than in a footnote. Where we do not have a number yet, we write that we do not have it. If you find something on this site that is wrong or out of date, tell us and we will correct it.
